That's my experience. Yours might be different The location is perfect and there is a lot of free parking The decorations and layout are perfect. The only comment on the entrance is it in front of the washrooms Cleanliness was acceptable. Time to be seated, we waited for 5 minutes (lucky), but you may expect either no waiting or waiting for sometimes. This location is busy. Time to take the order was acceptable And time to get the order was reasonable . Food and taste were delicious and rich. Service was excellent Prices were acceptable. Whenever I go to Sydney, that restaurant will be my stop. Conclusion it is worth the money I paid and worth to have a break from the long driving
Stopped on Christmas Day on the drive to Halifax. Turkey dinner special with apple pie for dessert. Great food with excellent service.
Aulds Cove Big Stop restaraunt is a favorite of mine, because they always have friendly staff, delicious food, and the prices are very reasonable and affordable! They offer the beyond burger for customers that eat Plant-based, which is absolutely delicious, and you choose the side; I usually order fries with mine, and the serving sizes are pretty big, so come on an empty stomach! For pescatarians or anyone that loves fish, I would recommend the seafood platter; it's a favorite of my partner, and if you're looking for a cheaper fish-dish, I would recommend their fish & chips! Overall, the staff are always kind and accommodating, every item on their menu is usually delicious and fairly priced, and as I mentioned before, the serving sizes are quite large, so I couldn't help but give this restaraunt 5 stars!

Known for its mouthwatering burgers, this restaurant combines perfectly seasoned patties, fresh, high-quality ingredients, and an array of creative toppings to create a culinary masterpiece.
Highly recommend stopping here for everything you need; Very nice staff, clean bathrooms, well stocked and organized gas station, & the Irving has really good food. I love everything from the big breakfast, turkey soup, to the liver and onions, etc. Don’t drive hungry stop here for a bite! Update; I was tempted to stop here again due to the good experiences in the past. The ladies are welcoming and kind, they do such a good job working together, the service here is outstanding! ordered the chicken stir fry. I’ll definitely be back next time. It’s an Irving Big Stop. Always busy. Always good food. Great seating options and good for a “truck stop.” This is often a meeting place for travelling and an easy Halfway stop between Sydney and Halifax
Seniors breakfast is good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is cold so bring a sweater or coat. Service was good but server forgot a few items. The big stop is our go to restaurant for home cooked meals and reliability.
